Barnett’s Magazine published its first issue in the winter of 1997. It is a custom bike and modified Harley-Davidson enthusiast magazine with feature bikes, rally coverage, technical articles, press releases, editorial, and event coverage. We have reporters in the USA, Europe, and Asia. We publish feature bikes and rallies submitted by riders from all over the world.

In the USA, the magazine sells for $5.99 and is available at thousands of newsstand locations. In 2011, the magazine will be published bi-monthly, six issues a year. The following chain stores in the USA and Canada carry Barnett’s Magazine:

Below are the “On Sale” Dates for each issue of the magazine. This is the date by which the magazines should hit the newsstands, though it is not exactly equal all over the country. If you are a subscriber, you should have your copy several days before this date.

Why is my magazine not here?
Check the above dates. If the “On Sale” date has passed and you don’t have your subscription issue, just call us at 1-800-796-8185. We’ll double check the address we have for you.

How many times a year do you publish the magazine?
For 2011, we plan to publish 6 times. The recession knocked us down to 5 in 2009 and 4 in 2010 but we are back up to 6 and hope to be at 8 in another year or so. If you subscribe and pay for 6, you will get 6 issues whether or not our annual count changes.

When do I get my first issue?
Ah, the million dollar question. If your subscription is placed four weeks or more before the above “On Sale” dates, you can get that issue. If however, your subscription is placed less than four weeks before the “On Sale” date, you will receive the following issue as your first issue. We’re sending in the subscription list at the last possible minute to include as many of you as possible on the current issue.

When is my bike coming out in your magazine?

When do you send out renewal letters?
We don’t send out half a dozen reminders. If you gave us your email address when you subscribed, we send out one email when your second to last issue ships and another email when the last issue ships. If you did not leave your email address, we mail out one renewal on the same date the last issue ships. That gives you about four weeks to call in, renew, and not miss an issue. We’re saving paper, so you won’t see a string of renewal letters.

When does my subscription run out?
You may call 1-800-796-8185 and ask at any time. We are working on getting this information online so you can check 24/7. We will change this answer when that is finished and ready to go.

I can’t find Barnett’s Magazine on the newsstands, where are they?
We don’t have a city by city store list. And when we mention a chain above, it doesn’t mean every store in the chain carries it. For example about two-thirds of the WalMarts and Barnes and Noble stores carry our magazine, but we don’t know which ones. But the stores listed above should be the first places you check. You can always subscribe, that helps us out by the way.

How do I get my considered for the paper magazine or for the online magazine?

If you end up on the online magazine, don’t be discouraged, the consolation is that the online magazine has about 70,000 visits and the bikes stay archived forever by category once run.
