Baggers and bobbers and choppers oh my! That’s right, on January 20th at the Charlotte Convention Center there were some great custom bikes on display. Big wheels, awesome paint jobs, great seats and all around incredible American iron were in abundance.

As you will see in the three days of photos here at Barnetts Magazine Online there was someone’s dream bike on the floor. Even if you prefer riding a stock Harley-Davidson or mildly-customized personal ride, you have to be amazed at the creativity and craftsmanship that goes into these wild builds. I have been photographing custom bikes for Barnetts for around fourteen years and I still see things I have never seen before.

With the younger builders stepping up every year a new generation of customs are being created. These young minds come up with new ideas and a lot of times on a shoestring budget. They don’t have the TV exposure of a few years ago so it’s an uphill climb for many.

I am sure that the motorcycle industry will rebound as it has in the past and the interest that is generated by these young entrepreneurs will help keep the lifestyle alive.
