2004 HARLEY-DAVIDSON XL1200R 1200 Roadster

1200 Roadster

2004 XL1200R SPORTSTER 1200 ROADSTER Blue Paint. Rubber-mounted 1200cc Evolution® Engine. Fresh makeover by Barnett’s Harley-Davidson’s Design Shop. Runs and looks great fresh paint. The 1200R Sportster® Roadster embodies the radical transformation of the Sportster family for 2004 - A completely new motorcycle and redesigned powertrain that exude, stronger than ever, the very essence of the Sportster family when it was launched in 1957 and throughout it's almost 50 year history. The look, sound, and feel of the 1200R herald the day when Sportster began its middleweight custom domination. And the powerful 1200 Evolution engine, dual front disc brakes, tachometer and increased redline prove that this Roadster is as fun to ride as it is to look at.

Rubber-mounted 1200cc Evolution® Engine

High compression, high flow cylinder heads

High performance cams

Silver powder-coated engine with black powder-coated cylinders and cylinder heads and silver powder-coated covers

Triple-disc brakes

Wide polished handlebar

Chrome headlight visor

The fuel tank on the 1200R has been completely redesigned in 2004, while still maintaining the classic "Sportster" look.

The combustion chambers and ports are a high flow design, resulting in an increase in potential air flow both into and out of the cylinder.

Redline on the 1200R is 6000RPM, an increase of over 15%*.

The 1200 powertrain uses high performance cams, which helps to increase torque over 16%*.

A compression ratio of 9.7:1 and the new 6000 rpm on the 1200 Evolution engine round out the performance features of the 1200 powertrain. With these changes, 91 octane or higher fuel is required for the 1200 Evolution engines.

* Compared to 2003 base domestic 1200 engine.

If your Harley-Davidson® motorcycle is stolen and never recovered, chances are you’ll have to pay the “gap” between the book value of your bike according to the insurance company and the loan balance. Don’t assume that your primary insurance will cover all losses related to your motorcycle. In reality, the actual cash value that an insurance company places on your bike may be substantially less than the outstanding balance on your loan. Who pays the difference or the 'gap' between your insurance company and your loan payoff? You do!

GAP example

The GAP Plan pays the difference between the fair market value of your vehicle and the outstanding balance of your loan on the date of loss up to $25,000. Plus, your insurance deductible may be covered up to $1,000. With your loan balance paid in full and your deductible covered, you can move on to purchasing a new motorcycle.

Harley-Davidson Insurance is designed to protect more than just your motorcycle. HARLEY-DAVIDSON INSURANCE BENEFITS: $3,000 accessory coverage included, helmet and safety apparel coverage, using the repair shop of your choice, and a variety of discounts available: H.O.G.® member discount, paid-in-full discount, homeowners discount, multi-bike discount, and more.

We have done business with a wide variety of shippers, most of them ship bikes for between $500 and $600, less if it is close. We can help find you someone or you may contact them directly. Click Here for a list of people we’ve used in the past.
